Short-tempered LaRouchie coward responds, hilarity unintended.

December 13th, 2008

I'm tingling all over. At 9:33 on December 11th, Fenris Designs received its first hate mail, meaning it's a real website now.

Name: Fen
Email: fenris.design,loser@gmail.com (don't respond, assholes, it won't work.)
Body: Hello. I happen to think that you have a very sad life. I have seen you on campus and you are not what you try to determine you are on your website. The fact that you go around taking pictures of people and posting weird things on your site just makes you look like a lonely individual who have(sic) no life. If I were you I would put down the KY Jelly, zip up your pants, log off the computer and actually go out and meet some friends. From your Number 1 Fan. Fen.

Haha, always nice to hear from a fan. I would have responded with a "thank you," but I couldn't get anywhere past his fake email address (do email addresses usually have typos in them?) I'm sure we've spoken in person before. If memory serves, he took pictures of me for "security reasons." Bartholemew, sweetie? Is that you?

Keep in mind, this isn't just any short-tempered Joe who stumbled on my site and disapproved. The email came, not from a home or public computer, but from a political action committee, presumably a volunteer.

But Fenris! There's no real email address! How do you know that's a LaRouchie? See that number at the bottom of the page? That's a Java applet from StatCounter.com, which allows me to see where page visits are coming from, down to city and ISP. It's extremely helpful when it comes to appealing to a specific target audience.

Anyway, this fascinating number came from a business with its own ISP, Southwest Literature Distributor, in Houston. SLD is a regional distributor for LaRouche literature and a callground for the LaRouche Democrats on the University of Houston campus. If Bart here is either an employee or a volunteer, it's hardly a professional attitude to maintain. Why, something like that would usually result in a citation from his supervisor. (Shame, ain't it? Assuming he is a student as suggested by his being a member of a student club, students usually go home for the holidays...)

Thanks again, Barth. You've given me a great laugh and the LaRouche PAC's potential recruits yet another reason to run away screaming. Please, by all means, keep responding. I'm always happy to hear updates. Now, where did I put the KY?
